Barmultra Italian Ryegrass |
BARMULTRA
annual ryegrass is a 50 clone synthetic variety developed by Barenbrug Holland.
A true Italian ryegrass, with little or no heading in the summer
following spring sowing, BARMULTRA is
excellent for all intended purposes for annual ryegrass, especially green chop
and silage production.
BARMULTRA
is a tetraploid variety, with the subsequent increase in digestibility and total
nutrient content. It is a
wide-leaved, dark green variety, with excellent palatability. It establishes very quickly, helping hold the soil in adverse
conditions. This makes BARMULTRA
excellent for those areas where erosion control is very important.
BARMULTRA
may be planted in the fall in regions with relatively mild winter temperatures.
Late winter and spring growth is excellent, with good yields and fair
frost tolerance. BARMULTRA
especially shines when spring planted in northern climates, with explosive
spring and early summer growth. BARMULTRA
has excellent regrowth capabilities, giving multiple cuts of palatable forage
with high relative feed values. BARMULTRA is also very persistent in those regions with milder
temperatures.
