Forages species and
plants are small miracles. They allow us to grow feed, which we use to give to
animals to produce high quality meat, milk fiber and other products for the use
of us, the human species. Forages do this using only sunlight, water and soil
nutrients. To grow the best animal feed in different areas, with different
animals, mankind started selecting different forage species. After a while we
started selecting and breeding within the species to come up with even better
adapted varieties.
