New variety for Barenbrug. Similar to Barkoel, slightly more upright, dark, fine leafed. Has improved winter color, and good for the environment. |
Barvanti Turf type timothy is one of the more unique varieties Barenbrug offers. Being a true timothy, it is well adapted to wet conditions, such as river banks, bottoms of swells or other areas where water tends to collect and where most other species will be drowned out. Barvanti is also extremely cold tolerant, making it ideal for use in mountainous areas. Several winter resorts use it to seed ski slopes during the summer, providing long-term green cover in the off season. As a turf type timothy, Barvanti also shows excellent establishment and low vertical growth, making it ideal as a turf cover in those extremely tough areas to keep green. |

Bariviera Poa trivialis is a five clone cross-developed by Barenbrug Research in Oregon. Bariviera is medium dark green, with very fine leaf texture. Bariviera has excellent turf density, and coupled with a more upright growth habit, makes an excellent putting surface. There are considerably less horizontal stems with Bariviera, keeping overall turf quality high, with less color loss from ugly, slanting mower cuts. Even though Bariviera is very dense, it allows transition back to bermudagrass very smoothly and quickly.

Barenbrug's Fruit and Wine Mixes can help reduce weeds, parasites and insect pests in vineyards and orchards. They are a tool to help reduce chemical applications and avoid wind and water erosion, while improving both yield and quality of crops. When legumes are added, as is the case in all Barenbrug Fruit and Wine Mixes, additional nitrogen is made available to the crop. With less open ground and less erosion, more water is conserved and retained by the soil. The fibrous grass roots and legume tap-root systems allow for better water penetration in the soil as well as aid in long-term soil improvement. Our Soil Builder green manure crop will provide abundant organic matter in a short amount of time.
