Barenbrug USA is excited to announce a new tag line that will be visible in the near future on many of our branded products: “Plant a Legacy”. In a few short words, we believe this sums up the relationship between Barenbrug, its growers, products and customers and I’d like to take a few moments to describe why.


When I think of the word legacy, it conjures up images of something lasting, standing the test of time, and that brings in the proud roots of our heritage which ultimately can be passed on from generation to generation. It also reminds me of the hard-work, sweat and tears that those who came before us invested in the cause to pass it on to us. However, what may be the most monumental part of the word legacy, is that it continues on, and we today are just as much a part of creating a legacy as those who came before us. We must continue to stay on the leading edge, drive innovation and end-user value and strive to ultimately pass on something a bit better than we found it to the next generation. When you have a passion for your farm, your business or your customer, isn’t that what you would like to be said about your legacy?


So, why “Plant a Legacy”?: Because when a customer reaches for a branded Barenbrug yellow bag, they can be assured they are buying much more than just the seed, they are buying into an experience and a legacy that they can be assured they will be proud to pass on to the next generation.
