Barenbrug USA Appoints Bret Winsett as Forage Sales Manager

(Tangent, OR) Barenbrug USA is excited to announce the recent hire of Bret Winsett as Forage Sales Manager for the Professional Divisions. As Forage Sales Manager, Winsett will lead Barenbrug USA’s Forage Program and continue to grow its market share domestically.

 

Bringing over 35 years of experience, Winsett began his career at FFR Cooperative in 1983. Directing their grass breeding program in several states, he brought several forage grass cultivars, that are available today, to market. While he was at Miles Enterprises he evaluated and sourced new and improved forages for Miles ForagePro and their customers. More recently, he has consecutively worked for Byron Seeds and Hood River seeds. As National Sales Manager for Hood River Seeds Winsett sought to provide the best support to their customers through education, presentations, and one-on-one conversations.

Winsett completed both his Bachelor of Science in Crop and Soil Science and his Master’s of Science in Plant Breeding and Genetics from Purdue University. He is the current president of the American Forage & Grassland Council as well as a member of the Kentucky Forage and Grassland Council board of directors.
