Appointment: Seed-Supply Chain Manager

Barenbrug USA is pleased to announce the promotion of Britton “Bo” Lacy as the new Seed Supply-Chain
Manager taking over for Macey Wessels as she moves on to become a part owner in Boshart Trucking and Bossco Trading, a local trucking and export hay company.  Beginning January 22nd, 2018 Bo will officially take up his duties in this new role as well as become part of the BarUSA management team.

In this role, Bo will be tasked with providing leadership and vision to ensure that the seed supply pipeline is adequately filled to meet the commercial needs of our valuable customers. This requires a keen understanding of the key technologies, brands, species and varieties that make up the portfolio and building and maintaining relationships with top quality growers and production companies in a way in which makes them successful too.

This new position will draw upon many of Bo’s experiences he has had in his career.  Bo started on a family farm growing grass seed in Northern, ID and worked in the fields as well as in the seed cleaner. After completing his B.S. in Turfgrass Management and Business Management, Bo spent his early career as a golf course superintendent with his last stop before becoming the BarUSA Turf Products Manager, as the General Manager of Tri-City Country Club in Kennewick, WA, an 18 hole semi-private course with 300+ members and 27 full-time staff. Bo comments, “I am sincerely pleased to be part of such a great organization. The opportunities for growth that have been built by the Barenbrug family team are tremendous, and I have full confidence in our team’s ability to deliver world-class service and next-generation quality products to our customers.”

James Schneider, President, comments “The internal promotion of Bo is truly exciting, as it emphasizes our commitment to investing in our employee’s professional growth! Congratulations to Bo, and we look forward to his growth opening up opportunities for others.”
